Do you have an idea that you would like to be able to see come alive in the classrooms around MI? Do you have a strategy or lessons that push students and teachers to be innovative, create, or take learning to the next level? Then the REMC Association has money to make your dream project come true! During the month of June, REMC Directors and RITS members from around the State of MI gather to
discuss plans for the following school year. This year the group brainstormed project ideas and come up with some of the following ideas: Gamification in the Classroom, Chromebooks and the 22 Things, Coding ~ Making it in the Classroom, Technology Curriculum for the K-12 Classroom ... just to name a few. The only thing is that we need great people like you to develop these projects. If you have skills/interest in any of these ideas or others that you may have, don't let money stop you. Contact your REMC director or RITS member and we can help get you started! For REMC 12W contact Keith Tramper (email@example.com), Jeremie Coplin (firstname.lastname@example.org), or Tina Tribu (email@example.com).
Today, we need to provide students with a creative, collaborative, 21st-century educational landscape. We at REMC 12W want to embrace those ideals. Our focus over the last year has been on innovative products, services and trainings that can be offered to all of our partners. This thinking has lead us to some changes that affect the Teacher Materials Center (TMC).
Beginning July 1, the TMC will be renamed the REMC Innovation Center. This revamped center will offer a unique space for team thinking, planning, learning, and making. This space will be open to you to drop by and create, schedule a learning event, or reserve for a meeting retreat.
REMC Innovation Center will continue to offer the same services focused on teacher classroom supplies such as die cut materials, lamination, video and technology tools through SnapMedia, and discounted prices on Discovery Education. Die cuts and laminating will be available all summer during the renovation process.
If you have any questions about the REMC Innovation Center, please email Tina Tribu or call 269-250-9260.
