Michigan Virtual High School

Detailed pricing is available from Tina Tribu. The Michigan Virtual School™ (MVS™) is an online resource that enables Michigan high schools and middle schools to provide courses (all taught by certified teachers) and other learning tools that students wouldn't otherwise have access to. It was funded by the Michigan Legislature in July 2000 to be operated by the Michigan Virtual University ® (MVU®), a private, not-for-profit Michigan corporation. MVS works in cooperation with individual school districts to grant course credit and diplomas.

Through MVS, Michigan high school and middle school students can take a variety of courses and learn any place there is a computer and an Internet connection. Additionally, high school students can prepare for tests such as the Michigan Merit Exam and AP* exams. We're here to help prepare our children for a lifetime of integrating technology into their work and their lives.

Eligible students include:
  • Gifted and talented students
  • Special needs students
  • Students who need to "make-up" credit
  • Public and non-public school students
  • Home-schoolers

MVS can help schools stretch tight school budgets, provide staff development opportunities and improve student performance.

MVS can help educators get back to what matters most — helping kids find their special gifts.

MVS is accredited by the Commission on International & Trans-Regional Accreditation (CITA) and the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI).
